HAVE A VISION:

Once you begin considering options for your senior portraits,  gather any photos that speak to you from Pinterest,  social media, and even screenshots of people you know. It’s okay to not know exactly what you want, but having some idea will help guide conversations with your potential artist and make your consult more successful. Discuss your vision with the makeup artist as soon as you start inquiring. Your vision should include your color palette with your favorite outfits, then a plan for changing lip color, or a smokier eye throughout the day.

FIND OUT THE DETAILS:

It's perfectly normal to ask about price!  Find out how much the artist charges, if they can travel with you on your day or would rather you travel to them before the session. Find out if your day is also available to them. Makeup artists in Eastern, KY can charge anywhere from $25 to $100 depending on if you are asking them to travel to our studio for the application process.  We DO have an artist on staff, but welcome other creatives in our studio all the time!

KNOW THE IMPORTANT THINGS:

Your senior picture makeup should enhance your natural beauty, and should go with a similar look to what you usually wear. But it’s important to remember that for the majority of Seniors,  you’re going to want more than your everyday look.  The camera doesn't pick up exactly the same thing as the naked eye, especially brows, lashes, and lips. You will want to wear false lashes.  Our makeup artist will chose the right ones after your consult.
